Mario Günther is a Junior Professor at Panthéon Sorbonne, associated with both the Institute for History and Philosophy of Science and Technology and the Law School. Previously, he was an Assistant Professor at the Munich Center for Mathematical Philosophy (MCMP) and a Researcher in Residence at the Center for Advanced Studies of LMU Munich, a Visiting Assistant Professor at Carnegie Mellon University, and a postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Australian National University.

He obtained a PhD in Philosophy from the MCMP and the Graduate School of Systemic Neurosciences, a MA in Logic and Philosophy of Science from the MCMP, and a BA in Philosophy and Cognitive Science from Albert Ludwig University in Freiburg. 

He received the 2022 Wolfgang Stegmüller Award from the Society for Analytic Philosophy for "outstanding contributions."  ​
